September is one of the busiest months in Stockbridge, a family-friendly city known for its small town hospitality. It is at this time when people converge at the Downtown area for the annual Bridgefest.
Usually held every last weekend of September, Bridgefest is considered as the premiere art and entertainment festival in this South side of Atlanta.
But this year’s festival is slated to kick off on Friday, October 3, with a free concert by The Tams.
The day after, festival proper opens with displays of arts and crafts. There are also available food trucks on the venue while music and entertainment will be provided by invited artists.
Kids will also have their own space at the children’s interactive area as their parents enjoy the night away.
The Bridgefest is just but one event that awaits every visitor annually in Stockbridge.
Every summer, music enthusiasts are given a dose of their own entertainment with the Sounds of Summer Concert Series, held annually in the months of June and July.
This year, the summer concert series is held July 15 that featured live music from All Groove Factory.
Not just that, summer is also fun and exciting especially for children with the annual holding of the Screen on the Green Summer Movie Series.
The Screen on the Green Summer Movie Series is not only about watching movies but also serves as a bonding moment for the whole family.
December is also a fun month in Stockbridge because of the annual Holiday Festival, a free event featuring holiday refreshments and live entertainment from local choral groups.
The activity draws together people from all walks of life who want to witness face painting or chat with Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus who will drop by for a visit together with their live reindeer.
This year’s Holiday Festival will be held on December 7 at the Merle Manders Conference Center.
